Get Your Bait In The Right Place

Take Your Time

I’ve learnt that when fishing with friends you want to get your bait in first, but first look around you and think where you’re going to cast before you have even set up your rods. As you can see i have made a red ring to show people where I would go because carp love to hang around reeds and dead trees but do be careful because you can snag up and lose everything. Also I like to cast my spod in the red ring 5 times before I’ve cast my rods in. Once I have cast my rods in I then cast another 5 times on top with my spod which is filled with cooked hemp and little particals which have been left in hot water over night to keep all the aroma. The aroma give the water a cloud of smell and aroma which will encourage the carp to your bait, which has work so well with me as you can see.

When I get to my destination, I walk around the water to see other fishermen and see what they’ve been catching. Once I’ve done that I look where the direction of the wind is going. I have caught more fish with the wind facing me than away from me this is because of the carp following the wind direction, but then people say that it’s not nice facing the wind but I’d rather be uncomfortable and have lots of fish, than be comfortable with 1 fish.
