Korda Your Amazing

dsc00671.jpg

Korda has a new product for 2007 Hybrid lead clips have finally arrived after an extensive three year testing and development period. This was necessary in order to ensure the clips performed at peak performance in terms of both fish safety and rig efficiency; an objective we feel we have achieved in full! The Hybrid lead clip design features an integrally moulded Ring Swivel ensuring that the swivel simply cannot pull free from its housing. This forces lead ejection in the event of it becoming jammed ensuring that carp can be landed easily in weedy, snaggy conditions. WHAT A GOOD IDEA Read the rest of this entry »

Use Plastic Bait

dsc00667.jpg

The biggest paradox to hit the carp fishing scene in recent years has got to be the arrival, and subsequent successes, of artficial baits. Most people can probably get their heads around the idea of using a piece of plastic sweetcorn presented among a bed of jolly Green Giant, or evena couple of plastic maggots clipped up nicely on the side of a bag of real wrigglers. Nevertheless, using a piece of coloured, synthetic rubber as your only source of attraction is often a more disconcerting prospect. There are, howevera great number of anglers who swear by the use, proclaiming them to bee ridiculous or artificial baits, especially as a single attractor bait, and there are also an equal amount of anglers who swear by their use, proclaiming them to be ridiculous or even unethical. Look For The Carp

dsc00648.jpg

When I first looked around Snake Pit I saw carp moving all over the place. And they where all in the reeds safe. So my idea is to cast not in the reeds but just outside them because the carp will come out and trust me you’ll know about it. To help the carp get to your bait faster, put a Pva bag on your hook with some high oil pellets and to get the edge dip your boilie in a stong dip. If you put two rods in the same place the smell would double and have twice the chance to catch. But if the carp are at the top because its a hot day use a surface controller and float a dog biscuit on the surface, carp love dog biscuit on a hot day. Read the rest of this entry »

Get Your Bait In The Right Place

dsc006461print.JPG

Take Your Time

I’ve learnt that when fishing with friends you want to get your bait in first, but first look around you and think where you’re going to cast before you have even set up your rods. As you can see i have made a red ring to show people where I would go because carp love to hang around reeds and dead trees but do be careful because you can snag up and lose everything. Also I like to cast my spod in the red ring 5 times before I’ve cast my rods in. Once I have cast my rods in I then cast another 5 times on top with my spod which is filled with cooked hemp and little particals which have been left in hot water over night to keep all the aroma. The aroma give the water a cloud of smell and aroma which will encourage the carp to your bait, which has work so well with me as you can see.

When I get to my destination, I walk around the water to see other fishermen and see what they’ve been catching. Once I’ve done that I look where the direction of the wind is going. I have caught more fish with the wind facing me than away from me this is because of the carp following the wind direction, but then people say that it’s not nice facing the wind but I’d rather be uncomfortable and have lots of fish, than be comfortable with 1 fish. My New Tackle

dsc006431.jpg

I have bought some new tackle from Danson Angling Online i have bought Nash Back Biters, I have bought these beacuse Back Biters are the best in indicators you can buy today, Nash has gone crazy and made something out of this world it is made from the best quality chain they have also sprayed some sort of WD40 to stop any rust forming on the chain. The Backbiter head features an inner line clip to highlight drop back indication which is impossible with standard line clips as the indicator does not drop at the same rate as the line. The Backbiter ensures absolute drop back indication, on a forward take the line slips out out of the line slips out of the inner clip and then comes into play with the ball clip. The bicycle style chain highlights indiction eliminates side movement preventing the indicator swaying in the wind causing false indication.

I have also bought two Solor Stainless ‘Lockey’ Back Rest the Back Rest is the most popular and obvious choice for specimen anglers today. Its precision formed shape and foa cushioned all weather lining fits all rod butts without damaging either the blank or handle itself. Read the rest of this entry »

Nash Tackle Is A Very Good Make And This Is What They Had To Say.

Boilie dips are traditionally oil based and at Nashbaits there is one dedicated to each of our boilies. Food dips are more complex, made from liquid foods, such as yeast and malted extracts, again one dip dedicated to each Nashbaits boilie flavour. Although anglers assume that the oil based boilie dips are for summer use and the food dips, being water soluble are for winter use. Angler results have proved that both dip styles are universal. In fact, probably the best way to use them is by blending them.

“A mate of mine has said that fishing a single hookbait that had been left in a boilie dip for several weeks, with just 5 or 6 freebies or a stringer has always proved a winner for me”

The good baits are Classic flavours: Strawberry, Scopex, White Chocolate, Tutti Frutti, Shellfish Sense Appeal, Pineapple, Maple, Monster Crab, Seafood Cocktail Read the rest of this entry »
